The Creditor and Debtor: A Biblical Relationship

Anúncios

The Bible acknowledges the existence of creditors and debtors but places moral responsibility on both. Creditors are warned not to exploit vulnerability, while debtors are instructed to act with integrity and commitment to repayment.

This relationship is governed by justice, not dominance. Creditors hold power, but that power is limited by moral obligation. Debt must never become a tool for oppression. Likewise, debtors must not use mercy as an excuse for irresponsibility.

Biblical balance protects dignity on both sides. When justice and mercy coexist, relationships remain intact. When either is ignored, conflict arises.

Anúncios

Healthy financial systems depend on ethical boundaries. The Bible emphasizes relationship preservation over financial leverage.
